Ofir Uri, BSc(Med), MD | Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon |Shoulder and Elbow specialist
Dr. Ofir Uri is a consultant shoulder and elbow surgeon, deputy director of the orthopaedic department at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center and a clinical lecturer at the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.
He specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery including shoulder and elbow arthroscopic procedures, sport injuries, trauma surgery and joint replacement.
He graduated from the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology in 2002, and completed his training in orthopaedic surgery at Ichilov Medical Center in Tel Aviv.
At the end of his orthopaedic training he specialized in shoulder surgery at the shoulder unit at Tel Aviv Ichilov Medical Center and then moved with his family to the UK to complete a 2-year higher sub-specialty training program in shoulder and elbow surgery in leading hospitals in the UK.
During his shoulder and elbow fellowship in the UK he worked as a senior clinical fellow at the University Collage Hospital in London and at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, where he performed numerous shoulder and elbow operations and gained ample clinical and surgical experience in shoulder and elbow surgery.
Dr. Ofir Uri conducts clinical research in orthopaedics and shoulder and elbow surgery. He presents research projects in international medical conferences and publishes articles in peer reviewed journals. He instructs medical students and orthopaedics residents in basic science research projects and holds a Lecturer academic appointment at the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.
